Our Story
How Gospel Hope Came To Be
A Tale of Two Church Families
Gospel Hope has deep roots in West Pasco. We began as a merger in 2025 between Holiday Bible Church (1956) and Riverside Baptist Fellowship (1848). After a season of growing friendship between the two churches it was determined that we would be better together!
What God Puts Together Let No Man Put Asunder
Since that decision to merge was made official, the Lord has blessed us with an incredible sense of unity and a renewed purpose for the sake of God’s glory in New Port Richey.
Flurishing Under A New Name
In late 2025 the church decided to rename itself to Gospel Hope, solidifying our fresh start as a new church and clarifying our message to the community we love.
Our Core Values
Guided by the conviction that Christ comes before all else, we prioritize genuine community over individualism, people over programs, and prayerful dependence over mere duty, making God’s Word central to everything we do.
Christ before All
The glory of God is our highest aim, making the Word of God central and instructive to all we do.
We Before Me
Genuine curiosity and generous hospitality set the table for intimate, lasting relationships and sustainable, powerful evangelism.
People Before Programs
Spiritual formation is inspired and imitated more than it is managed.
Dependence Before Duty
Prayer is essential for power and success in achieving our mission.
Mission
To make and mature disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19–20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Vision
To be a God-centered, healthy community of faith that is marked by love.
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
